I am in construction federation executive pension defined benefit arrangements. I am due to retire July 2004. My salary is reduce €43000 to€36000 due to a slakes in work,will this affect my pension.

Perhaps.
It all depends on how your pension is calculated. If it is calculated as a fraction of your final years salary then your pension may be lower. If it is based on say your average salary over the last 3 years, then the negative impact may be less.
You need to check the rules of the scheme. If you dont have a scheme booklet, contact the CIF Pension Scheme office and ask them. It really all depends on exactly how the pension formula is worded.
