I'll say it again: - Connacht vs Munster, United Rugby Championship match from MacHale Park, Castlebar, Co Mayo. Yes folks, international, professional, club rugby in the heartland of Co Mayo GAA territory. The match itself, is a sellout within 24 hours of the match and venue being announced.

I should have posted this earlier. It's now half-time, live on TG4, Connacht 5 - Munster 18. Not the most exciting of matches, but historic. Fair play to the two sporting organisations for their innovation and cooperation. Would that there were more of the same across the entire island. The winners here? Sport and more importantly, the supporters and the citizenry. Brilliant.

Comhghairdeachas agus buala bas diobh go léir a chairde.

I have to say hard luck Connacht, very well played Munster.

Exciting 2nd half, with the Atlantic "breeze" playing its part.

Man of the match Crowley was a fair choice but a majority on both sides played their hearts out. I thought Mack Hansen ran Crowley pretty close.

I hope all the injuries prove minor.

I agree, but have to admit I don't understand lots of rugby rules.
Why was the late Connacht try ruled out?
Munster kept them on the back foot for the 10 minutes they (Munster) were down to 13,
and maybe deserved to shade it because of that.
The full 7 points available were garnered by the 2 teams but Connacht's play off hopes look slim now.

The first thing you need to understand about rugby is that it is governed by "laws", not mere "rules". :D

Try disallowed apparently for a dangerous crocodile roll by Bundee Aki in the play leading up to the try.

Now on to Sharks vs Leinster on RTE2 live in Durban SA, a stark contrast to the venue from earlier in the day, rolling in gambling money, etc.

Try disallowed apparently for a dangerous crocodile

Bill, an old farmer in Florida, owned a large farm with a large pond in the back. It was ideal for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, decking, and some orange and lime trees.

One evening he decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn’t been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit from the trees there. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping nude in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence, and they immediately squealed and rushed toward the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, “We’re not coming out until you leave!”

Bill frowned, “This is my pond. I didn’t come down here to watch you naked ladies, or ask you to come out. You can stay as long as you wish”

Holding up the bucket he continued, “I’m here to feed the crocodile...”

Super performance by Leinster to beat the Sharks at home in Durban, a very rare occurrence, but well deserved. Deegan man of the match despite Leinster's scrum being under intense pressure at times.
