Hi,

I have been offered a company funded healthcare package and i was wondering how much this will end up costing me?

I don't currently have private healthcare.
The package offered is Pmi 5210. The aprox annual gross cost is €1600 and I will be liable to pay Bik on the gross cost of the policy.

If you're a high rate taxpayer then it will cost you very roughly c. €800 to benefit from a €1.6K insurance policy.

You should get €200 tax relief.

You claim it on form 11 or 12.

Even at 800 euros tax. look at almost half-price health insurance.

Don't forget if work is paying for Health insurance, you can claim a BIK tax credit of 20% of Premium ( up to 200 euro per adult or 100 per child)

I can't help with your question, but if you can review PMI 4510.. 75% off GP and Consultant and only 1 euro access.. Physio Cover is only good if in Dublin or Cork on this though.

It’s a €1,600 policy for €600 when you don’t aleady have health insurance. All other things being equal, it’d be mad to turn it down.

That is the cost for the employee only. Adding the child will be an aditional cost, although still a good offer.

Well, you never mentioned family members before now and I did previously say this...
