Company Address v Trading Address

A lot of companies will use the home address of a director as a trading address especially where the company doesn't have a trading premises (except the director's home). The trading address isn't publicy available and the registered office address is. From a practial viewpoint the Revenue are a bit touchey with using a service provider's address as a business address if the company is going for a vat registration. I can't really comment on the lease restriction regarding a business address and the only thing I would say is who is going to know? If the company is going for a vat registration then use the service provider's address for both business and registered (and I'm sure this will cost more).

Should I use my rented apartment as the trading address though it's against the lease?
I'd be surprised if the lease prohibited using the address for such purposes. These clauses are usually intended to stop people setting up a business that might attract lots of clients to the apartment. What wording is used?

Personally, I would not publish my home address. I would do as dublin67 suggested, and use the service provider address both as "registered office" and as a "virtual office". I see from the companyformations.ie site, linked above, that they provide both services. btw, "registered office" might only be needed if you are a Ltd company. If you are a sole trader then "virtual office" would probably be enough to pass as a "trading address".
