Hi All,

Anybody got any advice on which cavity wall insulation to go for for an existing detached house. I had Rockwool pumped into the cavity a previous house I lived in and I was very impressed with that. But interested in any other experiences/opnions

Are there any significant thermal difference?

Also ball part costs for Munster

Thanks

i would always prefer rockwool over polystyrene beads.

Its pumped in at higher pressures, therefore i feel it fills the cavity better. Beads need a proper mixture of glue to make it waterproof, and ive heard stories of some bad installations where the beads pour our unbonded.

most recent quotes ive seen work out roughly about €1 per sq ft....

but obviously this depends on many factors, not least the width of the cavity...
