Cat homing

I'm not sure if this fits into homes/gardens but I hope some one can help. I know cats are hated by many so for those please stop reading.

I looking for a new home for my cat who I've had for 6 years. I've a child with severe excema whose been diagnosed as allergic to cats. She was placed with me with Cat Resuce as she is a very nervous animal. I can't find a listing for Cat rescue now, and was wondering if anyone knows of a simialar agency that would mind a cat until a suitable home was found for her? (We were "interviewed" and our house visited to inspect for suitability before they gave us the cat!!!). I have asked around and cannot find a home myself.

Also, there's an 'agency' called CatsAid - don't have any contact details on me at the moment.
