I am planning on renting a car in the USA for 2 weeks. I can get a good deal on the Basic Car Rental Rate but I am puzzled by the Optional Extras : LDW, CDW, Personal Protection Plan etc. I have VHI World Travel coverage for the year. My personal car insurance does not cover me on Rentals. I have Visa Gold but am not sure if this gives me any coverage. Any ideas on how I can protect myself but not get fleeced by buying something I do not need. Thanks
