Hi there - it's car insurance renewal time for us and I was wondering if any of you have used Tesco Car Insurance? My wife was quoted online at a rate that's about 30 EURO cheaper than Hibernian, who we're both withat present. The Tesco offer also includes a high pressure water washer as a bonus.

Just wondering if anyone has had experiences including a claim that might be able to give some guidance?

You will probably find that it is Hibernian that Tesco will arrange the cover with.

Prob to late,

But, what Bedlam said,

Hibernian are the underwriters for Tesco. All Tecso do is sell you the policy, Hibernain look after everything from there on in.

Even when you call for Customer service you will be speaking with Hibernian agents, "G'Morning, Tesco Car Insurance, nonsequitir from Hibernian speaking."

Same with claims, you will be speaking and dealing with Hibernian staff.

So nothing really to worry about!

Only downside that I could see happening is that all your paper work, cert & disc etc would be a day later than normal.

Having switched from BoI to Tesco on my credit card, I can safely recommend that for Eur30 you should stick with Hibernian.

I dont care what posters above say - yes you will probably be dealing with Hibernian, but I wouldnt risk it.

I have had more aggravation with Tesco CC in 4 months than I had in 20 years with BoI.

Dont

go

there
