I sold my house earlier this year and am exempt from paying CGT because it was my principal primary residence. I understand that normally CGT would have to be paid by mid December and that it would be done so online, first I would need to register for CGT. However, as I don't need to pay anything due to the exemption, do I still need to register online? Or do I just wait until next year and file a return before October 31st? Thanks for any help!

Do you already do Form 11 tax return?

If so then just complete the CGT section in your 2024 form next year

If not then just print off a manual Form CG1 next year and send it to Revenue
