Can we afford mortgage?

Luckily I never had the Dulex aisle conversation as the OH doesn't know what DIY is. But I've given up explaining the washing machine 20 years ago, I've settled for the dishwasher loading instead.

Making a list however is divorce territory.
 
My OH has warned me for months to have realistic expectations about this house that we've just moved to. I wanted the architect in 3 days after we moved in, carpets replaced, conservatory torn down, new kitchen, entire house decorated within a week.

Needless to say we haven't even unpacked all the boxes & I am learning patience.
 
Good advice there Sadie and you captured my mood perfectly! Some days ok, others my whole life a mess! We'll get there one job at a time!
 
I'm almost at the point of thinking boxes unpacked after two weeks should go in the skip!
