Can I send a text message via GoMo from my laptop?

No. But I am going to give up.

I click on What's App and I can send a What's App from my pc. I did have to set this up initially.

But this has just got too complicated. And now you want me to get cables and physically connect my phone to my pc?

For the benefit, it's not worth the hassle involved.

I find these technical challenges very frustrating, although I understand that other people love spending hours solving these riddles.

Your phone charging cable should have a USB to connect with the computer. Otherwise try Apples instructions from the link and use itunes. Part of the problem might be compatibility - Yourphone app is really design for android.
I totally get how frustrating it is and I'm one of those people who hate spending hours solving these riddles but I'll do it anyway as I don't like to be beaten by machines ;)
