Hi, I am unable to get the tenants when they are in the house. Can I send the notice of rent increase by post / or drop it through the letterbox myself?
Thanks in advance for any help,
T

Thanks for the reply, but in the RTB website, it does not go into detail, it just says "serve the Notice of Rent Review on the tenant at least 90 days before the rent is to have effect);", it doesn't say can the rent review be served by post or do you have to do it in person?

I wouldn't just post it. What if the tenant says they didn't get it?
You might just have to contact the RTB on the correct procedure....or maybe someone on here can advise further?

If you think your tenant might act the maggot :

Send by recorded delivery
Hand deliver - take photo if you wish
Send email with pdf attached.

You should send the notice by certified post - not registered post.

Be careful drafting the notice and calculating the 90-day notice period - it’s easy to get these details wrong.
