I think you were had..didn't you ask for a refund?I got a new Nokia phone in March and within 2 weeks the volume went low, like someone was distant and then the screen went blank etc...each time the shop sent it away for repair. After 3 visits to the repair shop ( and getting a replacement from the shop while mine was getting repaired) it was deemed not fixable anymore and no more could be done...so I had to buy another new phone
the rule of the 3 r's (daughter did this in business studies)
1. repair,
2.replace
3 refund
Just read further on the faulty goods act,and it would appear they can offer a repair,and only then if it contuinues to be faulty can a replacement or refund be offered.
In other words it does look like they can just offer to repair,which is very inconvienient as it means I have to do without my phone for up to two weeks! doesnt seem fair.:{
