Buying in Rialto

Hi,

My husband & I are looking at possibly purchasing in Rialto. The property is close to the Fatima luas stop & the Herberton apartments. I know the area has undergone 'urban renewal' & there are very mixed reviews online (& some quite dated). We currently live in Dublin 8 close to the pimlico flats & Meath St. Walking around the area it doesn't seem any worse than where we are now. Any advice from people currently or who have recently lived in the area would be much appreciated.

I would occasionally walk from the Luas up to Cork Street taking the street leading between the two and certainly do not feel safe even during the day.
 
Thanks, the house was very close to St Anthony's road & having taken a few trips around there a different times of the day/night we've decided to keep looking.
