Bruce Springsteen-Tracks 11

I've been a fan for almost 40 years and I've seen him live about 10 times but releasing 7 albums of stuff that wasn't good enough to get on albums at the time they were written does sound a bit like an ego trip.

It depends really... there was more pressure back in the day to limit the songs on albums, maybe there were some in there Springsteen liked but the label\producer thought didn't bring enough oomph to the album and another song of equal merit got onto the album. Maybe not the 2018 stuff so much though!

Huge Springsteen fan here...saw him live five times last year!

Tracks 1 was really good and he has since released a ton of other stuff - including full albums - mainly on the Darkness/River boxsets which I have on BluRay.

I'll await the results on this one - I wasn't mad about everything he put out over the years but there are always individual gems and I'll take them as I find them. (Would especially like to hear a lot more 'Tunnel of Love' material - he was writing great "break-up" songs during that period.) His B-sides too are often superb - never thought I'd get to hear 'Man At The Top' live but he did a terrific version in Kilkenny in 2013.

Also remember (as referenced in the post above) that he has sold his entire catalogue so probably part of the deal to maximize the value of the stuff in the vaults.
