A cut-throat could be dangerous alright. I doubt many people use them these days though.Razors are not a problem unless they are the old type blades (cuthroat razors I think they are called - don't know, I am not that old), these could be potentially be used as a weapon on a plane.

You have to buy your stuff on the other end unless you can find small bottles with a volume lower than 100ml.
It is a crazy rule and it leads to having a lot of smelly people (me included) on the plane with no deodorant, no perfume, no nothing . . . and this is after standing in line for 90 minutes to pass through security.
