Bring my after shave when flying

I am flying tomorrow with only hand luggage can I bring my half bottle of after shave , arm spray,and gillette sensor, thanks, or do I have to buy all these when I get to my chosen place of holidays thanks

You have to buy your stuff on the other end unless you can find small bottles with a volume lower than 100ml.

It is a crazy rule and it leads to having a lot of smelly people (me included) on the plane with no deodorant, no perfume, no nothing . . . and this is after standing in line for 90 minutes to pass through security.

I have brought disposable razors in my hand luggage, where the blade is enclosed. Sprays are not allowed. All bottles as Zag says must be 100mls or lower. You cannot even bring a half full 200 ml bottle.

It's generally easy enough to get small bottles of stuff. I travelled to London recoently and could bring everything I wanted. My perfume was only a 100ml bottle anyway and my deodoranty was a small rollon, only 50 ml. All makeup was less than 100ml. Don't know about the razors, I didn't try to bring mine.
 
Razors are not a problem unless they are the old type blades (cuthroat razors I think they are called - don't know, I am not that old), these could be potentially be used as a weapon on a plane.

You can no get small 100ml cans or shaving foam in places likes Boots, so that shouldn't be a problem.

A cut-throat could be dangerous alright. I doubt many people use them these days though.

Safety razors, I believe they are called.

They have a far superior shave if, like me, you only shave every few days. You do have to be a bit more careful with them, though!

Presumably these are people who don't shower and apply deodorant in the morning?
It's frustrating to hear people still moaning about these rules; it's even more frustrating to be behind some woman in the security queue trying to sneak stuff through in her Louis Vuitton and then ranting ab out having to give up her Chanel No 5!
On short haul flights there is no need for any of this stuff...on long haul smaller travel packs are widely available now as others have pointed out.
 
I brought a spray perfume bottle in my hand luggage no problem 2 weeks ago. You can get small bottles in Boots and decant your chosen shampoo, etc into them. It's all pretty manageable. If you only have carry on luggage, you probably only need one shower's worth of toiletries!

Not necessarily! Last year I went to Central America for a month, and only had carry-on luggage (am tired of airlines loosing my luggage). Also went to India for a few weeks, and only carried carry-on luggage.

Its such a pain now, that for future travel I'll have to check-in bags (If I'm travelling for a few weeks, I'd like the comfort of my usual toiletries).
 
As for showering before traveling - yes, I imagine most people do, but after hours of standing in line, shuffling along, lifting and dropping bags, etc . . . in the middle of summer (or winter for that matter) in an airport with no air-con most people will perspire at least a little. Having had a shower several hours earlier is unlikely to help.
