Bridging loan - need to be signed before money available

Just wondering if anyone can help me here.
We're getting a bridging loan from the bank for the deposit, the bank said they'd send out the forms and then the forms have to be signed in front of solicitor.

We were going to just meet the solicitor once, i.e. to sign mortgage approval forms and to sign contract but do we need to meet him before this to sign the bridging loan forms so that the money will be available when we are signing the contracts? Or because we have mortgage approval will we be able to get the money straight away? (Hope this makes sense!)

Thanks

Well, we got 100% mortgage and we got a personal loan for the contract deposit. When we filled in the forms for the loan, one of the conditions was that the cheque would be issued to the solicitor. The loan would then be cleared once the mortgage was being drawn down. But in order for the cheque to be released we had to sign the formal mortgage offer first and then it takes about ten days for the loan cheque to issue. So best if you go down there and sign the mortgage forms straight away.
