Just wondering, I was asked to maybe get a giftcard for someone this christmas and when I went into air travel websites they add a 2 euro charge. They also I was asked for the recipients name as on their passport. Similar with ticketmaster regarding the extra charge. Is there any gift cards that are generally free and easy to get which can be spent on pretty decent variety of stuff ? I rather give cash but at least the gift card is presented nicely and looks like you did a little bit of work.

The card has a 16 digit card number, an expiry date and 3 digit security code at the back and is issued by Mastercard. I'd say any shop will take it but I'd say you may have a problem using it online as there's no card holder name.

As Leo said re the charges, they only apply after a year.
