Couple of holiday travels planned. Which is the best trouble free Insurance company for taking 1 Year, Whole Family Travel Insurance?

My friend suggested multi trip? is it good?

If by Multi-Trip you mean VHI, then yes I can recommend. Have purchased the annual policy for years; thankfully have only had one serious claim and everything was fully covered with one phone call. Hospital costs would otherwise have been the price of a new car, but I had zero medical bills to pay.

I have a BOI platinum credit card which comes with travel insurance
Been using it for over 20 years now and find it very good and I think great value
But one feature I think stands out more is the fact that when I book a holiday I don't think about it, it's just there
In the T&C's section you'll find the policy details

With both VHI and Multi Trip, I am unable top select 4 family members - 3 adults and 1 teen! Ages are 50, 47, 19 and 15.
You need to select the cover type as Individual and then adjust the Number of People. I did this last week with Multi Trip for a family of 5 with 3 children aged > 18.

VHI is showing €136.00 Annually.

Multitrip : € 187.6

With alll other providers I am unable to enter 3 adults and 1 child!

Is VHI an OK price?

Our health insurance includes travel insurance, I only became aware of this a few years back, I had been buying a product I didn't need.

I dont have any health insurance.
VHI Website states "Your Vhi MultiTrip cover is only valid if you are a resident in Ireland and have private medical insurance here. Your medical insurance must provide a minimum of €65,000 overseas emergency medical cover."

CornMarket gave a quote of 104 euro for 1 year whole family 3 adults and 1 child! But is from MapFre, from which I had a bad experience dealing with a claim.

Yes, They ask "Do you have a current Vhi Health Insurance policy?", I said "No". They are allowing to carry on with the quote and at the end they say "I confirm that everyone on this policy has medical insurance". It is just crazy. They should not allow people to continue if they dont have health insurance in first place.

My search continues for another travel insurance provider. Seeking any suggestions as well.

I dont have a credit card. Even if paying 100% within a month I have to pay the Govt duty for a credit card every year.
Okay you don't have a CC so are you paying for everything with a debit card, nothing wrong with that
But what if you have to hire a car while on these holidays, have you got the funds to cover the security deposit they might charge

The stamp duty of €30 plus the annual charge €76.16 comes in cheaper then the quotes you listed in post #19

With regards to paying "100%" within one month there are ways around this
And you only have to 50% of the holiday for the whole family to be covered

There is also the AER Credit Card which has more benefits the the Platinum but a slightly dearer annual charge of €78
