He relies too much on showboating around the ring, he is not able to fight scrappy tough fights as shown in his two defeats over the last year or two.
One thing that stuck in my mind was after the fight one of the RTE panelists called him a "one of the really good Irish fighters". Basically implying he is not one of the greats.

He was not compelled as said by Michael Carruth over the weekend. While I have sympathy for him and think he’s a really sincere and nice guy this was the first fight he was compelled to take, against opposition that wasn’t handpicked by his manager.
Thought he was a mandatory challenger??, i.e. if you want to keep your title you have to fight him.
I agree. To be fair to him, like others, I've always believed he was in the wrong weight category and was constantly up against lads who were too heavy-handed for him.... Basically implying he is not one of the greats.
IMHO, Ireland's current greatest boxer and maybe even our greatest ever all-round athlete is Katie Taylor. Thankfully women's boxing is now an Olympic sport, so she'll hopefully cap her career with an Olympic medal.
Watched the fight on saturday...I am always so impressed when I see Bernard Dunne being interviewed he just seems like such a gentleman in what should be the true sense of the word.
