Benefit of having husband as shareholder and employee

Hi
I am a 50% shareholders in a profitable company. My husband works part time for the company but doesn't get paid since they have a fulltime job (in which they pay class A prsi) and ultimately all the income comes to family bank account anyway.

We are both in the upper tax bracket before we take income from company into account

My question is - is there any advantage to my husband becoming an employee or shareholder of the company?

Perhaps , if you were thinking of making employer pension contributions.
Employer pension contributions could be made for you both.
