I need a number of bathroom products (towel radiator, bath screen, bath, toilet etc). I went into tubs and tiles and they were ridiculously expensive. Can anyone advise where to go in Dublin either naas road or northside.

Cheers

there is an outfit in Dundalk called "Designer Bathrooms" (I think )I found them to be good value I also bought some products on line from a UK outfit called "victoria plumb" they were very cheap and no problem to deal with .both have web sites

We recently renovated 2 bathrooms and a downstairs loo. We bought all the fittings including what you're looking for in Chadwicks. We were in every bathroom shop that there is and found that chadwicks, who don't have much on display, had the best quality at the most competitive price. If you can get to the Coolock branch, go to their trade counter and ask for Declan. No end to his helpfulness - and he will give you great suggestions.

Good luck.

Try CDV Supplies in Blanchardstown. They are primarly a trade supplier but will deal with direct customers if you call in.
No affiliation, just used them myself a while back.

Do they have a showroom as such?

I have used Dublin Providers in Kilmainham. They are always obliging and you can easily bargain for a discount.
Absolutely no connection.

Not really, just counter and full brochures. There is a bathroom retail outlet nearby in same estate that stocks their stuff and overheard someone say 'go and have a look at it there first'

We're pricing bathroom suites for a new build at the moment - prices in UK came in at less than €3k (incl shipping) v €6-€9k here! I went arount to suppliers here, explained that I would like to support local companies but I wouldn't be paying double! Tubs n Tiles reduced their price from €7k to €5k! There was still a substantial difference, so I've ordered from UK. My order should be arriving Monday week so I'll let you know how it goes! Incidentally, the order was going to take 1 week from the local suppliers anyway.

I was also in EVERY bathroom suppliers, plumber suppliers etc. Exhaustive search and our conclusive experience was that Chadwicks is the best. They have a great deal on Ideal Standard bath plus screen plus other stuff for about 550, its a P shaped bath so maybe not what you want. There is also an ideal standard toilet for about 200 all in that is plain and simple.

Re taps and showers etc, we went with Reuter Bathrooms in Germany. The Hans Grohe stuff there is really cheap compared to here and its top quality, we're delighted with our new bathroom. We found Tubs and Tiles very expensive too, although we found a sink in there for 80 euro that is really nice, and the lad took 20 euro off without being asked so do some bargaining!!

Good luck with that. It was the Ideal Standard range that we got. Not the cheapest but we're absolutely delighted with it - very good quality. When you go to Chadwicks in Coolock, ask for Declan.

Do not use anyone in Ireland. I got a quote for some Grohe stuff from an Irish bathroom showroom, it came to €3800 inc vat, with some work on the net I'm getting the same goods shipped from the UK for €1800 inc vat and shipping !

We are getting roasted in this country

The only issue with the websites is you get carried away!! The value is that good you may end up spending more but you get great stuff. One thing to note also, if you are buying a pump it is worth getting it in UK or somewhere other than here. I got a 3.4bar for about 400 euro in UK, a monsoon pump. In fact it was faulty when it arrived and ModernPlant sent a person out to fix it free of charge.

I am currently looking for bathroom supplies for a new build and i came upon this site http://www.4bathrooms.co.uk/. They seem to have very good value and deliver to Ireland for a charge of £150 per pallet. The wait time is 2-3 weeks. I have looked around various places and got quotes but this site is a lot cheaper for the products i am looking for.

Ordered a bunch of stuff from http://www.tradeplumbing.co.uk . They charged me 75 pound sterling for a pallet delivered (i had to call to get that price as the website shows a much higher price). Stuff arrived within 5 days of ordering.
