Barcelona Tips!

I am going there with a group next month. They are very low on disposable income. Any tips on free attractions? I have googled for all I am worth and very little came up apart from Sundays in museums (no good as we are there mid-week) and seeing Gaudi architecture from the outside. Any suggestions appreciated.
 
I know the place very well and I don't think you should be paranoid, although I'm aware there are incidents. Just try to go out with a bit of money in your pocket and avoid bags if you can. If anyone at all stops you on the street to talk or ask you anything just ignore them cause it could be an attempt to rob you.
Just enjoy...it's to nice a place to go around worrying.
