I am a member of a DB scheme in the private sector, earning 40k per annum currrently. The DB scheme offers 2/3's final salary if you work 40 years. I am 28 and started making avcs when i was 25. Currently I am putting €100 per month into my avc. Up until recently I thought that you could build up as much as you wanted in your AVC but someone mentioned overfunding to me recently.
What should I do? Am I putting in too much? Can I only fund for so much? Can someone explain this to me??
Also, can someone explain about buying years service? I'm a bit unsure about how this works also..THanks
