unless the collective investment isn’t materially the same as an Irish collective investment in which case they are taxed under general tax principles rather than under the exit tax regime. But that requires a forensic analysis of the prospectus document of each fund under consideration which is itself madness
 
Aren't Revenue supposed to be merely implementing tax legislation and wherever there is doubt over implementation leaving it to the legislators, and/or by the relevant government department, in this case the Dept of Finance, to direct how it should be implemented?
