Cavan Credit Union invites all members to attend its Annual General Meeting for 2024, which will be held virtually on January 27 at 7pm, and be the last for outgoing CEO Therese Conway.
I used to keep some savings in the CU, but like yours my Dublin CU also pays zero interest. I keep an account open in the CU in case I have no access to my bank for any reason and to be in the CU monthly draw that has far better odds of a win than money spent on the Lotto.
Rather than leaving it in a current account, any funds that will be spent soon but not immediately or funds that might be allocated for something like holidays later in the year now goes into an AIB 7 day notice account @ .75%. Not a lot but a decent take away from AIB twice a year is better than zilch from my CU.
