Are Domestic Gas Prices Likely To Drop Later In Year Fix Now or Later

I am just coming out of a one year fix with Flogas, and thinking of switching to Yuno Energy instead. Obviously time for big gas bills is November to March. Just wondering if I should go to a new one year fix right now, or hold off until later in the year in anticipation of domestic gas prices dropping further ?

Trying to time any market is generally a mug's game.

The regulator has stated that they expect prices to drop further. Consider if you will be bumped up to a higher rate at the end of your fixed term though and how much that will increase your bills

To add to @ddraws post above, if the exit fee is €50 then switching to a lower fixed rate can still make sense when you expect prices to fall, if the monthly savings will make up for that exit fee before too long.
