Apartment Valuation

Hello, I'm just wondering if it costs anything to have an apartment or house valued by an estate agent? Im not really thinking of selling at the moment but would like to see how much it would be worth for consolidation/remortgage purposes.

I have never paid to have a house valued either should you these guys half the time are looking for reasons to leave the office
 
Fee is typically Euro 127.

If you are selling, then expect it to be free if you sell with them.
If you are re-mortgaging, some banks use their own appointed agents and cover the fee. Others put the onus on the borrower.

So, worst case = Euro 127; best case = nil.
 
Shouldn't cost anything, we recently thought of selling our house and were fairly quickly receiving offers to value the property from many estate agents. Of course there is no obligation to use their services after the valuation.
