S St. Bernard Registered User Messages 149 5 Dec 2008 #5 I know this has been asked before but their are so many posts about the ECB its impossible to find the answer. If you have a tracker mortgage do the banks have to pass on the rate cuts. Obviously with fixed or variable it's up to the bank.

M Mixednuts Registered User Messages 166 5 Dec 2008 #6 St, If you are on a Tracker then the banks are contracted to pass on any ECB cut , they have no choice in the matter and at present are more than likely loosing money from trackers mortgages ...hence no longer available .
