Any good saving options with BOI

Hello,

Can anyone suggest good saving options (lump sum or monthly debit) with BOI? Any thoughts on the 15 month saving option with 5.25% AER?

I had an SSIA with BOI and then got the 18 month extension at a good rate - that has now expired and the rate is now ECB + 0%.

The money shall be removed as soon as I get a half day off work.

You could set up a Northern Rock account by post or visit Irish Nationwide or Halifax on a Saturday morning. Then just do an electronic transfer from your BOI account to the new account.

What other banks open on a Saturday?

You can do it all online now with most banks and send the documents by post.

I know some AIB & EBS branches open on Saturday mornings.
