Any benefit to keeping my credit card?

There's government duty being charged on it of course.

The only thing I use or have ever used it for, is to make payments on amazon - but now they have a function to use ones debt card for that.

Is there any additional advantage to having/keeping a credit card in my situation?

I don't not can think of any situation in which I use or may need it.

Is there any pressing need for a credit card given debt cards can be used for almost anything now a days?

This issue was discussed on at least one extensive thread and, as far as I recall, the conclusion was that the only thing that might absolutely need a credit card is car hire.
