Anglo Irish enforces rule to not allow early withdrawals on UK savers

There is an article here about Anglo Irish 'banning' withdrawals on their UK savers on fixed term deposit accounts before their maturity.

The whole idea of a fixed term is that you can't withdraw it! Anglo should just allow withdrawals with a 10% penalty and thereby raise some money for the Irish taxpayer.
