american express (stamp duty)

True it is better than nothing but the fact its not accepted everywhere would turn me off seeing as you need a credit card for nearly everything you do these days I dont know how people survive without one I think they are the best thing ever (as long as you are responsible with them), they're a free loan for a month as long as you pay it off in full in every month and you'd be crazy not to!
 
American Express hmmmmmmm.

Would a Tesco Visa card be more widely accepted. I like the idea of the extra points which would reduce my grocery bill, and in that way compensating for the stamp duty charge.
 
But their customer service hasnt been good in my experience. they arent very clear on the phone I find, though it was grand to avail of the not having to pay stamp duty
