Alternative to Nursing

[Disillusioned]

I am a Community Nurse with a speciality and really need to change my career. I feel burnt out as the job is so demanding and there is no prospect of it becoming less so. On the face of it I have a great career - status, good salary, pension, expenses etc.etc. but it really is no consolation. I'm in a career cul-de-sac with little prospect of being able to diversify. Although I want a change I need the money that I earn and there is nothing else that I am qualified to do.

I know it's a long shot but any suggestions?

Medical supplies & pharmaceutical companies are often very keen to get former nurses onto their sales teams.

What areas are you interested in. Would psychology be a consideration? It would go well with a nursing background.
