Affordable Housing Initiative Greater Dublin Area-Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow

Anyone here buying in the paddocks in adamstown?

Yes I applied for the paddocks I received the letter on the 13th but haven't had an appointment setup yet, when I rang DNG they said they hadn't received a list from propertypath. Have you heard anything back from DNG?

Hey dado, no havn't heard anything else. I called DNG as well and they didn't seem like they knew too much, just said the same thing that they had to wait to hear from the council.

Did you happen to find out exactly which properties will be on offer through the affordable housing, when I went to view the showhouses there was 2/3 bed apartments, 2/3 bed townhouses, 3 bed duplexes, 3/4 bed houses. On the propertypath site it says 2/3 bed apartments & duplexes but am wondering whether the townhouses will be on offer too. When I asked DNG they said 2/3 bed apartments and houses, not sure if this was just a slip of the tongue or not.

Personally, I much prefered the 2/3 bed townhouses over the apartments, plus I was told the management fees will be considerably less for houses than apartments or duplexes.

I rang Gina at DNG and all she told me was that the affordable housing was in phase 1 but couldn't confirm which properties were available.

Phase 1 is nearly finished so I'd hope we wouldn't have to wait too long.

This is from February [broken link removed]

There is a mixture of :-

Duplex units
Apts units
House units

In all sizes. Viewings will be real soon.

Note phase 1 is only just at completion so I'm sure they are waiting for completion before visits? seems reasonalble.

/end

Cheers Drapper, where did you find this out from? Not that I'm questioning you just more curious.

Good to hear the houses are included though

Trust me I know.

Fair enough, I've no reason to doubt you. But I don't hold much weight in a respone that just says trust me

Hi All,

Dublin City Council carried out the Draw for the Affordable Initiative Homes in the Dublin City area today. I think it will be 2 weeks before people receive news.

Hi Norton, how did you manage to find that out.

I called them yesterday and the guy said we're doing the draw this week. So I said what day? and he said well this week sometime, I can't really say.

Unreal !!

Anyway, good luck everyone. Hope we all hear something soon.

C.

I've had 100% success rate in my answers.

Hi Ci1,

I rang them today and they said the draw was done earlier in the day. The guy wouldnt tell me if i got one or not over the phone. He said letters will be sent out. Do you have any idea what the properties are like house?? apt?? duplex?? and what the price is.

Hi Norton,

I had a look in Belmayne, went to see the showhouses but I'm not sure if the AHI ones will be much different.
the brochure that DCC sent me give a spec of the houses and they seem to include all the same features as the ones people will be buying on the market.

they are beatiful, lovely laid out complex and I'm sure that you've heard and seen the adverts for them.

But the properties are spread out over the whole Balgriffin area, between 3 developments as far as I can make out.
Great area, great location, there is a total fitness there, 24 tescos, and not far from malahide/swords.

Its about 10 mins drive from santry so I'd be near my parents.

Fingers crossed !!! Hope they get in touch soon...

C1 you'd be right.

Hi Ci1,

I never got a Brochure off Dublin city, ive seen belmayne- there top notch. I though it was just clongriffin- the ones accross from baldoyle industrial estate.

Ballgriffin and CLongriffin are beide each other, two townlands

From what I read, the developments involved are Beaupark, Clongriffin and Marrsfield. The leaflet did not mention anything about Belmayne, however it did call Marrsfield - Balgriffin but technically it is Clongriffin. These developments are located across from Belmayne adjacent Trinity Sports.

Marrsfield only launched a couple of weeks ago and they are really really nice and finished to a very high standard.

/takes a bow...
Hi u seem to be in the know - do you have a tel number for P Elliots?

I got a letter from SDCC 2 weeks ago saying im eligible to purchase Apt in Priorsgate. It also stated that Elliots will be in touch with a viewing appointment but I havent heard anything?
