Advice needed re Prudential Ireland old pension policy.

I found an old pension policy with Prudential Ireland.
Does anyone know where I would go to claim it?
I tried Irish Life, but they were no help.
 
In what way were Irish Life no help? If memory serves, they took over Prudential's Irish policies.
 
Thats good advice, I was not sure if Irish Life were involved.
A Customer Service agent told me the policy number is invalid.
I am going to go higher in the company.

"Prudential Life operated in Ireland until its acquisition by Irish Permanent Building Society. The life office then traded as Progressive Life. In 1999, Irish Life Assurance plc and the Irish Permanent Building Society merged to form the Irish Life and Permanent Group, and the operations of Progressive Life and Irish Life Assurance were merged."
 
Prudential Life became Progressive Life and then in 1999 it merged into Irish Life (as part of the Irish Life/ Irish Permanent merger). So all Prudential policies are now managed by Irish Life.
So write to Irish Life will policy details and they should be able to respond.
 
They were able to find the Pru policy, and it was converted to Irish Life policy, and they paid to us.
I had to get tough with them, due to lack of response.
It was part of a parent's estate, chased down policies with you name it.. took most of a year.
Result being... no probate was needed.
