Does anyone know why fibre cement slates would rise on a roof?
The problem is mainly happening on one section of the roof with the odd slate rising here and there on the other sections. The first time it happened the guy that put the slates on came back and tapped them down but said he didn't know why it had happened in the first place! They have risen again however. It looks like it could be the same slates but it is difficult to tell.
Before getting them "fixed" again we want to find out what exactly is happening. Could it be an issue with a batch of slates or is it the way they were done in the first place ?
Is there any such thing as an independent roofing expert or engineer that could come out and give us a written report as to what is causing the problem?
