Adult dependant in state contributory pension

Hi My husband is getting the state contributory pension. I’m 61 and currently not working.
We also have rental income of €1,900 gross per month and also my husband is getting a private pension income of €450 per month
So with those two incomes would l qualify for the adult payment.
I can’t seem to find what the criteria is for this payment

Possibly. The Qualified Adult Dependents Pension is "means tested" based on YOUR means.
But assets held in joint names, 50% is attributable to you. So the rental income (if property is owned jointly) may disqualify you.

Hi yes the property is jointly owned so it looks like that will disqualify me

If your only income is 50% of the rental income then that's €220/week (perhaps less depending on disregards for mortgage interest, upkeep or whatnot . . I don't know if such applies or how these things work). If your pre tax income is less than €100/week it seem you'd get a full qualified adult increase on the contributory pension and if it's between €100 and €310 you could get a tapered increase. Cost nothing to apply.
