4 day week - HSE online policy applying to same

Hi All
I have a friend working in the HSE. Some of her colleagues are working part time, flexible hours and blended working. She would like a four day week and asked about it. She was told by her line manager no. She believes her role is suited to 4 days a week or a flexible arrangement. Her colleagues seem to have flexibility but she is getting none but she doesn’t want to go down a grievance route. I can’t find a policy on line related to it. Is there any advice for her or a HSE policy on it.

The policy is probably that flexible or reduced working arrangements are available but subject to the exigencies of the work. This would be typical.

It might be that your friend works in a particularly busy area that can’t accommodate reduced working arrangements.

She should have access to the policy herself.
