Just had this one from a Toyota dealer 2 days ago when putting my Avensis in for a service. "your rear brakes pads will not last until the next service" They said that there was no warning light but they did not know about the warning sqeal, I quoted the hand book that there was a noise warning when they were worn ( not to be confused with metal to metal) The service reception had not heard of it so I am taking a copy in to them. Obviously I refused an Extra €165 on top of my €315 service bill. They also said the wipers need re-placing, I had just driven 20 mile to the dealers through the most horrible weather and they where OK for me.

Just had the wheels off and checked the pads, there is at least 6mm of material on them
