165 women raped and then most of them burned to death. Why is that not news?

You cannot have a state that treats people of one religion/ethnicity better than others.
Religious and ethnic discrimination are rife across the world. The evidence might suggest it is difficult to have a state with no such discrimination.

We didn't rage a war against it. We kept the aspirations. Nothing more.
That's irrelevant when it comes to judging whether the cause was just or not.
The Catholic people of Northern Ireland opposed the state they lived in as second class citizens
both peacefully and violently.

Maybe but not in laws of countries that style themselves as liberal western democracies.

Well Jimmy, all I can say is that the Hamas approach has worked out really well for the Palestinian population, many of whom voted them into power knowing full well their objectives. Now it seems they will lose Gaza too. A great win for their people. Well done for fighting the just cause.

Should those countries be held to a higher standard than countries which style themselves as authoritarian dictatorships, absolute kingdoms or base their laws on savage and oppressive belief systems codified more than a thousand years ago?

Israel's goal all along was to get rid of the Palestinians, they just didn't know how far they could go without losing America's support.
Moshe Dayan's prescription in 1967 after Israel had just taken over what was left of Palestine was to treat them like dogs in the hopes that they'd leave.
I don't know how anyone can think what Israel and The USA are doing to them is just but whatever...

Not in the west bank, not reported by BBC etc

Last twitter post by her before Israel shot her dead on Sunday

“To my unborn child, with you, I will become a mother for the first time. I can’t believe how quickly this pregnancy has passed and how you have grown quietly within my womb, waiting for my first joy.”

You can answer that one yourself especially in the case of countries like Saudi Arabia which are America's friends

Is anyone suggesting that it is? I think Israel's behaviour over the last 15 months has been truly appalling. My issue is the presentation of the Palestinian leadership as the good guys. There are no good guys in this, not in any positions of power anyway. Picking a date in time and deciding that who is right and who is wrong should be adjudicated from that point in perpetuity is childish and pointless. Both sides are very badly led by evil men but the guys leading the Palestinians are also incompetent.

Laws without the will to enforce equally for all are meaningless. Ask US minorities how they feel about poorer representation and harsher sentencing under the justice system there. Have you ever asked a member of the travelling community here what their thoughts are?

National Public Radio in the USA which always referred to the Assad governmentt as a 'regime' now refers to Al-Jolani as Syria's president and the current outfit running the country as the Syrian 'Government'. That's Al-Jolani the former head of Al Qaeda in Syria and former assistant leader of Isis. he's a great guy now although still chopping off heads I believe, in Idlib particularly

Anyway, back on topic; why is the mass rape and murder of well over 100 women not an international news headline?

No arguments from me. Main problem is the USA feels it has the right to effect regime change in every other country in the world.

USA isn't carpet bombing Black districts in the USA. Ireland's Travellers aren't living under under Martial Law. Etcetera, etcetera.
That has nothing whatsoever to do with your earlier claims, or your contradiction of some of those claims!
