The Icelandic Krone suffered a run lately, so the central bank have pushed up rates to about 12-14%.
Now that sounds to me like a fantastic return, albeit with a currency risk.
I have never invested in bonds, but does anyone know how, hypothetically, one could get a bit of that action.
Someone told me that there'd be a minimum investment of a large amount, high five figures, to buy bond guaranteed to pay 14% per annum (in Icelandic krone) if held to maturity. That may be possible.
Assuming I can get €100K or so together, how would I go about taking advantage of this? Would I need to be buying tens of millions before I get the full deal?
