What's best reasonably priced hotel nearest to airport did any of you spend overnight in?

not going to be helpful here but we stayed in a fab hotel view of the twin towers, in KL I think its about 1 hour by transfer tax for about €20 and the hotel was 4 star for about €70 the night.. amazing place but carnt remeber the name one of the big groups though Hilton or one of those... great deals get yourself into the city for the night fab to walkround and people are very nice

The airport is out in the middle of nowhere but has a hotel attached, the Pan Pacific - http://www.panpacific.com/KLairport/Overview.html, starts from around €90.

However, the KL Express from the airport into the city is only 20 minutes, and arrives in Sentral station which itself has two hotels attached - Hilton Kuala Lumpur & Le Méridien - (you can ever perform your airport checkin at this station).

Thanks for that. I have what sounds like a very nice place called the Jawadene. They actually meet you at the airport and bring you back again which is great.

We stayed in Century Hotel- modern 4 star and in city centre- very friendly staff.

The airport's not actually in Kuala Lumpar. In fact it's another state altogether. I've stayed in the airport hotel, very good, when I had to overnight. It depends on how long your overnight is. If you have a plane in the morning for example, stay close to the airport.
