Flights to New Zealand

I'm looking to book return flights to New Zealand for late February/early March (with some flexibility on timing) and I've tried various websites, but don't find them particularly user friendly and only one of them showed a range a dates.

If I go to someone like Trailfinders, is this likely to be more expensive than booking directly over the internet?

Regards
Homer

sites like ebookers.ie, opodo.co.uk are good for flight searches but yes, I agree, a bit difficult if you have some variability or uncertainty with dates & destinations.

Try <bestflights.com.au> I think you will find the flights at good price. Enjoy New Zealand

i was thinking of a trip to oz this year and someone mentioned royal brunei www.bruneiair.com on this site, when i checked their rates they were 300euro less than everyone else, the flight i was looking at was to brisbane but you could then search for flights from either brisbane to nz or via sydney, i've used www.travel.com.au for cheap flights in oz before.

edit- just seen they fly to auckland so could be an option, flight out 28/2 back 21/3 comes to 900 sterling flying to brisbane might work out cheaper.

I booked through Trailfinders before as they were cheaper than I could find online myself. They suggested that a round the world deal would be cheaper for me, as I wanted to stop in Brisbane and then Hong Kong.

Just be aware that if you book flights leaving from London and then your Ireland/London flight is cancelled like has happened recently then you've lost the rest of your flights. You have to make the 1st leg or all your flights are cancelled, so I was told anyway.

just checked through www.opodo.co.uk and the royal brunei flights are 80 quid cheaper there for some reason.
best deal i got for my flights to washington next month were through www.ebookers.ie so check there too, also by having the one ticket it should make bag transfer easier and if flights are late you should be covered.
wouldn't harm to check with trailfinders too or gohop as they have had better deals than i could find online.

Be warned, Royal Brunei are a dry airline :D

to check cheapest dates over a month use www.itasoftware.com. Use the option to login as a guest. You can't book your flights on there but it should bring up the cheapest combos

Be warned, Royal Brunei are a dry airline :D[
They are only "dry" in that they do not provide alcohol, but have no objection to passengers taking on wine etc for their own use, and will provide mixers.
So you don't have to manage without.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I tried a couple of the sites and saw some reasonable enough flights - around €1,150 to €1,200 including charges.

I'll try trailfinders tomorrow to see if they can come up with anything better.

Thanks again
