Do I have the right to use a business' toilet?..

We where in Xtra-vision before and my then 3 year old got the need to use loo real bad, so I asked guy at the counter and he said no sorry as they where not insured, not sure about his reason but the answer was no anyway.I accepted this and told my daughter same and asked her can she please hold for 5 mins as we where nearly ready to go anyway.
Then 2 minutes later she went to the toilet anyway in xtra-vision but on the floor,
So all I could do was pay for the DVD's and say you need to clean that up and I am sorry.
I can see why they don't let people as they would have people in all the time but if a 3 year old has to go she has to go, now she had gone before we left the house but such is life.

I wouldn't have asked my 3 year olds to hold on even for 5 minutes - at that age when they gotta go they gotta go.... You could have nipped around the side of the shop or gone into a nearby pub or supermarket - at full speed... It's really upsetting for some kids to have accidents, particularly in public.

I can't believe you wouldn't offer to help clean up or pay for your child soiling the shop floor - disgusting for the poor shop staff to have to clean up after you.

And I expect they do have an insurance issue restricting customers access to public areas only - behind the scenes there are probably things to trip over (that staff are aware of) and possibly slippy bathroom floors - all ripe for Ireland's compo culture public to sue over...

Sounds like you mis-read how urgent her situation was - surely you should have taken her outside immediately rather then finishing your business in xtra-vision. I also find it strange that you wouldn't clean up after your child! .

Caveat - I'm pretty sure Bruce Lee was killed by the illuminati - thought everybody knew that!

Thats pretty gross, surely as a parent you should be responsible for cleaning up bodily excretions of your child?
