I was wndering does anybody have information about these auctions? Or are they just pushed into normal everyday auctions/ dealerships? I remember back in the day the financial institutions would sell these off once or twice a year.

I am looking to buy the wife a new car she currently has a 03D 206 with 19k miles on it but i wanted to upgrade it a little possibly to a 05D convertible beetle or Mini Cooper.

Anybody any thoughts on either car or my situation. I am sure most of you will say sell privately and then go to a dealer with cash.

Wilsons do weekly auctions, they also do one off auctions of vehicles from Garda. www.wilsonsauctions.com They re based on Naas Rd near Rathcoole

Merlin car auctions at Ashbourne also auction cars off.
Have never been to either so dont know prices or quality
