Company incorporation, need for a Company capital statement?

I am in the process of completing form A1 for a new company and at the end is the statement:

I further declare that this form, including the company capital and stamp duty statement which is required by section 117 Stamp
Duties Consolidation Act 1999, has been fully and accurately completed.

From my research it appears that stamp duty for companies was abolished in 2005.

So i am unsure what this statement is, and if it is even required.

I would be obliged if anyone could explain it.

When you set-up a company you have to purchase the shares in the company and you have to pay stamp duty on the purchase of these shares.

Apparently you do not any more. According to Revenue this was abolished in 2005.
CRO has confirmed it.
