Hi All,
I am really worry to miss 31st Oct deadline to send financial statement to CRO and Revenue.
The company was registred 04.09.08 in CRO and 01.10.08 in Revenue, Form B1 was send to CRO 01.03.09 for the first 6 monts, and CT1 for 2008 was send to Revenue
on time 12.06.09. Now I am still not sure do I have to send annual financial report up to 31st October or not ? If yes whom do I have to send it to CRO or Revenue or to both of them ?
I came to CRO office and was told I do not need to send the report but I am not convinced, also I send email to Revenue they reply me that they will inform me when I have to send the annual report. The annual report is done and I am just going to post it to both CRO and Revenue by registred post to avoid any trouble further.
Could anyone to clarify me please do I need to worry about that or that being relax and not to worry at all ?
Thanks

I presume that you are operating as a limited company. The 31-Oct deadline hasn't got anything to do with limited company returns.

However, assuming you are a proprietory director (> 15% of share capital of your company) you are obliged to file a personal tax return for 2008 detailing your personal income from all sources for 2008.

This return should be filed with Revenue on or before 31-Oct (or 16-Nov if filing AND paying online)

2 different issues above.

1. for 31/10/09- You might want to file a director tax return for 2008, This includes all paye income and any self employed.

2. Company office filing is based on annual return date. I assume next ARD is 04/03/10- On this date you file second b1 from b1 and accounts from 04/09/08 to 31/08/09.

Thank you DB74 and papervalue,
yes, I am operating as a limited company and I am a proprietory director, I forgot to say that 31st January 09 I sent form 11E to Revenue about my paye income (wages) for 2008 period.
If the 31s Oct for the personal income only should I send them my paye income form 11E for the period 01.01.09-30.09.09 ?
Now I am sure that the next annual return date for Ltd Co. to CRO is 04.03.10, I will have to send the B1 form + Abridged Financial Statement, but what is the deadline for the Ltd Company
to Revenue and for what the period, because 3 months 2008 and 10 months 2009 already gone.
Your information is really helpful
Thanks in advance

Paye/prsi income from 01/01/09 to 31/12/09 is to be returned on P35 by mid Feb 10. You get your P60 from this.

The 2009 tax return for director is due 31/10/10.

For revenue if You accounting year end is 31/08/09 for eaxmple you would have to file first ct1 within within 9 months of this on 21st of that month

if the company was regiestred for revenue 01.10.08 does it mean the accounting year is 01.10.09 ?

It is up to you to decide what your accounting year is. If company started trading in september might be better off have 31/08/09 year end and could fix it with revenue when filing ct1.

I would recommend you meet your accountant to clarify what year end is, Whether audit or audit exempt, P35 filing, Vat filing etc.

Get him to give a correct list of dates to work to
