Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a site / book that simplifies how to run a business?
I recently started up a small business (which I hope to turn into a big business when the economy picks up). I've done the small business course, but I still feel way out of my depth.
I know each business is different, and it would be tricky to get info covering a variety of businesses into the one book, but Im looking for the basic guide line......
what exactly do I have to do by law...
when do I file tax returns....
what exactly do I need to do to file returns....
do I have any other deadlines to comply with....
And so on.
just rooting around here tonight and I came across a thread that mentioned that you have to be a limited business to have a .ie website. I have a .ie website, but im a sole trader, and I wasnt aware of this.
Theres so much to having a business, and if you are doing something wrong, pleading ignorance doesnt cut it, so Im starting to get a little nervous!!!
I know the self assessed income tax due date is coming up, but since i only started up two months ago, I was told I could file my returns next year for 14 months, thats correct, right?
Sorry for being so vague, but its very daunting if your 23 and your background isnt in business!!! Hopefully running this small business will stand to me when I open the big business!
